Konsolidasi Bersama Kuatkan Integritas Nasional POLRI Dalam Tajuk “Mutu SDM Kompeten Media Data Standart & Jurnalisme Internasional”
Pontianak, June 22, 2026 – The Regional Executive Board (DPD) of the International Journalists Association (ASWIN) of West Kalimantan paid a courtesy visit to the East Pontianak Police Sector (Polsek Pontianak Timur), located on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 2, Dalam Bugis Village, East Pontianak District, Pontianak City, on Monday (June 22, 2026).
The visit was led by the Chairman of DPD ASWIN West Kalimantan, Budi Gautama, accompanied by the Head of Investigation Division, Nardi M, along with several journalists affiliated with ASWIN and its media partners across West Kalimantan.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chief of East Pontianak Police Sector, AKP Suryadi, S.H., M.A.P., who officially assumed his position following a handover ceremony in May 2026.
The meeting took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, providing an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the press and the police. The constructive discussion focused on enhancing collaboration in delivering accurate, balanced, and educational information to the public.
During the meeting, AKP Suryadi emphasized the importance of maintaining strong synergy between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the media. According to him, the media plays a strategic role in disseminating information, educating the public, and supporting the creation of a safe and orderly environment.
“The positive relationship between the police and the press must continue to be strengthened. The media is a strategic partner in delivering accurate information to the public, and therefore this collaboration should be maintained and continuously improved,” said AKP Suryadi.
Meanwhile, Chairman of DPD ASWIN West Kalimantan, Budi Gautama, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended by the East Pontianak Police Sector.
He stated that the visit marked an important step toward strengthening communication, coordination, and harmonious cooperation between journalists and law enforcement institutions.
“ASWIN West Kalimantan is committed to supporting a professional, independent, and ethical journalism environment. Through this courtesy visit, we hope to further strengthen the partnership between the media and the police for the benefit of the wider community,” Budi Gautama stated.
The event concluded with an informal discussion session and a group photo as a symbol of the shared commitment to building a solid, professional, and sustainable partnership between DPD ASWIN West Kalimantan and the East Pontianak Police Sector.
